Once again some very good factual information. HOWEVER for those people who grow indoors using an HPS bulb (to maintain peak performance) you should replace the bulb every 9 months or personally every 3rd crop. But the bulb would last 5+yr. (As lumans drop, yields drop - but there's still mercury in the bulb, hence please dispose with caution.) The prices for a bulb vary (£20-£50) and lately there's a choice of MH/HPS mix/combo blue/red so you only need 1 light from seed to harvest. Also dimmable ballasts starting @ 250,400,600. So there's little if any transplant shock, making life much easier. A bad workman always blames his tools, now there's no excuse, everthing's almost done for you.

what about lightmovers?? personally i like the idea of covering more light in a M2 area, always wanted one, but the cost RPR £160 & the fact my local grow shop owner argued that another light source would make more sense for the same £.!!
