And remember, the only food worth the name is ORGANIC, which cannot be GM by definition. Or you can move to Europe where GM products must be labeled accordingly!

With the government and the corporations so intertwined and in bed with each other, it is safer to trust independent information from sources that have no ties to either one. Clarance Thomas, the chief justice of the us supreme court wrote the decision regarding the ability to patent life, he used to be Monsanto’s in house attorney. Hmmmmmm who benifited most by the supreme court ruling on GMO?
there are many such stories all over the economy where the government is being controlled by the few corporations and thier lobbiest or thier people inside.

I have been opposing GM Food since it first came onto the market.

How dare the Government allow GM ingrediants be put into our food supply when they have not been tested to prove they are safe for human and animal consumption.

Take the time to research GM Crops, and you will come to only one outcome; GM Crops should not be in our food supply plain and simple.

French scientists have shown that the consumption of genetically modified foods poses major risks. Among the investigated varieties of corn: MON810 (Monsanto).

The investigators of the committee for research and independent information on genetic engineering CRIIGEN (www.criigen.org) evaluated in independent studies, the health risks of three genetically modified maize-varieties. …

The scientists’ findings are alarming. In rat feeding experiments, they can show: the genetically modified maize varieties MON810, MON863 and NK603 led to serious changes in the liver and kidney blood values – also the organs in the body that are responsible for filtering of toxins and waste products. Also the heart, spleen, adrenal glands, the weight of individual organs and the total weight of the animals altered by consumption of genetically modified maize-varieties. Furthermore, changes occurred in blood counts and malfunctions of the metabolic functions.

This raises again a dubious light on the European regulatory authority, EFSA. They had rated all Maize varieties as safe and refused to allow results of a similar study in 2007. Also, the in-house studies of the biotech giant Monsanto will be explicitly challenged by the researchers: Apparently Monsanto covered up risks, which have now been exposed, thanks to the French researchers.

Thank you to Jeffrey Smith for his relentless passion in getting out this information. The MSM in America is silent on this, and it is the most important environmental crisis we face. Transgenic contamination of natural crops if allowed to continue will render this planet neutered with our lives being dictated to us by the Monsantos of this world. It is time to stand up to these criminals and polluters to protect our health and environment for ourselves and our children. I am doing all I can to make others aware of this. Here’s hoping in 2010 that the tipping point on this is reached.

I have been studying the GE crop and food issue for several years, the word needs to get out past the corrupt big media that refuse to touch the issue, most likely out of fear of being sued by Monsanto or other GE ilk, this is a huge scandal and it’s true we are the guniea pigs, arm yourself with knowledge and avoid GMO foods with a non GMO shopping guide available from seeds of deception web site. And grow as much of your own food as possible and support farmer’s markets and locally grown food. This is an outrage, fight Monsanto and the other GE ilk that want total control of the food supply.

Here’s what to look for. Look for the labels (stickers) stuck on your fruits and veggies:
* A four-digit number means it’s conventionally grown.
* A five-digit number beginning with 9 means it’s organic.
* A five-digit number beginning with 8 means it’s GM.”

I knew that GM food was unfit for consumption. But I really was not aware to just how much food really is GM. It is ridiculous that the food is not labeled GM. Thank you for this article and helping to wake people up to the real world.
