    Hydrogen Peroxide Germination: Day 4

The hydrogen peroxide seeds have pulled ahead in the germination race, but did they pay a price?

    Saluton,

First the good news, all ten of the hydrogen peroxide seeds have sprouted. The plain water seeds, only six so far. It’s a very small sample, so I wouldn’t completely rule out some other factor, but it seems to me to indicate that the treated seeds did get a boost (40% in this test) over the plain water seeds.

However, not all the news is as positive. All ten treated seeds show a pronounced lightness on the edges of the cotyledons, as shown to the right, as well as an overall lighter color than the untreated seeds (below).

I don’t know if this is a temporary difference that they will grow out of, or an early indication of something that may become more pronounced as time goes on.

Stay tuned gentle reader, and let’s find out together.

    Peace, love and puka shells,
