    Pruning Technique: Catnip Topping – Day 32

    The pinched catnip shows its stuff.
    catnip-topping This catnip plant has been repeatedly pinched (topped).

    As each growing tip is removed, the adjacent side tips are encouraged to grow.

    This is the same plant (below), once allowed to flower. Notice the even height of the flower clusters.

    Not only does this allow for a prettier plant, but a more easily lit plant as well.
