The Bhut Jolokia Pepper is the world’s hottest pepper. In 2008, Guinness WBoR bestowed this variety with such a title after some Jolokias at the Chile Pepper Institute of New Mexico tested at a mind-boggling 1,500,000 Scoville Heat Units (SHU).
